Attributes Of The Travelers On
The Path
The travelers who seek the
reunion [1], the devout pilgrims
at Its gates. Unconscious of the existence of this world, melancholy
only for
Its sake and no other sorrow. Hearts' void of the universe though
inside this world, all
an ensemble with It so their bodies and hearts hollowed.
Traversing like a compass
round and round [2], beyond doubt
busy from dawn to dusk. Motionless and still though hurried on
a quest, silent and quiet though making wise points. Light their souls
but
heavy precious jewels, the consolers the soothers of every wounded
bosom. [3]
All these travelers learning
the alphabets of love, all
these voyagers gravitating towards “The Abode of Truth” [4]
[1] Reunion means to be reunited with
The Creator the end of
the travel on this path of love.
[2] The drawing compass is used in
Sufism to indicate the
nonstop motion around something and in this case the Creator or
motion in vain
going no place.
[3] You are not on the path of love
going towards the
Beloved unless you are the faithful companion of the broken hearts.
[4] The life we are within is the
classroom to learn the
alphabets of love one by one carefully through the etudes of trials and
afflictions. Willingly or unwillingly moving towards the final
destination.
Those who find the love indeed they will be in the assembly of Truth as
heard in
Koran [54:54-55]:
54. As to the
Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and
Rivers,
55. In an Assembly
of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign
Omnipotent.
