Abu-Abdollah Ja’far Bin
Mohammad Roodaki was
born in a village, Roodak,
near Bokhara (900), so he
was famed as Roodaki. He was
blind. Some believed
that he was born blind, but it
couldn’t be a correct
opinion about a poet who could
explain the nature
in such details. He had about
one million poems but just
some of them are available
today.
Roodaki had an elegant poetic
verve and an admirable
song. He played Reed (flute)
skillfully. He knew Islamic
sciences well. He made
Kaleelah va Demnah into verse.
I have decided to use the
artwork of blind men and woman specially the luminaries for the pages.
I just
called to say I love You!
